Why designs for New Year marketing? Since we still live in a physical world as well, you may want to use all sorts of festive printed materials to promote your online products or services. You can do it with the help of postcards, party flyers and stuff like that. Sure thing, you can hire a designer to create your custom graphics, but you can also do it by a long shot easier. Thing is, you can check totally awesome pre-made designs, select the one that strikes a cord and just have it modified (or do it on your own) to meet your needs. It works either way because you’ll need just basic Photoshop editing skills. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words.
So, here you go.

I actually have pretty mixed feelings about New Year marketing. Here’s why. My inbox is always full during the holiday season. That means even if somebody sent me an offer that I may be interested in, I’ll just dump it because I don’t want to read each congrat and I just remove such messages in bulk. π So, you may want to thing twice before overwhelming your audience with congratulations, especially when everybody does that.
Perhaps, it would make sense to do it at least by a long shot earlier, like a few weeks before the actual holiday. But it may become a bit annoying because folks can start thinking that it came for no good reason and does not make any sense as long as timing is concerned.
Thanks for your feedback, Richard. I’ll take it into account when I create my next New Year newsletter. I’m afraid it’s too late to put it into practice this year π
Well, it’s actually a tricky one. Sure thing, it’s a good idea to somehow stand out from the crowd by being creatively different, but wouldn’t that look like you don’t respect your audience if you don’t send them New Year and Christmas newsletters?
Actually, it crossed my mind as well. It looks that you just need to find the sweet spot that works both for you and your audience so that everybody is happy and gets what he or she wants to. Other than that, a really useful holiday gift would really sweeten the deal even if the newsletter message comes along with the rest of the holiday pack π
