Kinja.com is a well-known platform that hosts a whole lot of sites such as Gizmodo, Lifehacker and other well-know online brands. Its home page PR is 4 and Domain Authority is 67. So, you want to get a link from that domain to give Google and other major search engines more reasons to consider your site to be a reputable and decent resource. Keep in mind that you need to have a ready article that you’ll use for creating a blog post with your Kinja account. This time another tutorial on creating an account for SEO benefits. Wunderground.com (PR 8, DA 97) allows to create two sorts of links. You’ll be able to add your link either in the Recommended Links section or in a blog post that you need to make on your brand new blog. If you want to go for the second option, make sure to write an article that you’ll use because you’ll need unique and relevant content. Bundlr.com is actually a site that offers you to keep all your bookmarks in one location. Most likely that’s what made it a pretty cool site for SEO benefits because it’s PR5 and DA53. It goes without saying that it’s not the best website that you can find in my free links screencast series, but do keep in mind that you get that link totally for FREE. So, take it or leave it. Plus creating an account on the platform is a snap because you don’t really need to CREATE it per se. Just login with your Twitter, Facebook or Google account and fill in a few things. The Ziimbio magazine is another site that you may want to use for getting a brand new and easy link from a high domain authority site. The site is basically a portal that offers all sorts of content related to celebs. So, apart from creating a link or two, you may want to browse their categories and find all sorts of news, videos, pics and what not about your favorite celebrities. You can also comment blog posts, but that’s not much value in terms of SEO because they use Facebook comments. It’s better to actually create an account and place your link there. This time around another step-by-step screencast and video transcript which explain how to create a wikia account for SEO benefits. Wikia allows you to start a website and build a community around it. Other than that, you can also place your link pointing to your site. Since Wikia.com is a PR6 (homepage) and Domain Authority 90 site, I don’t really see what should stop you from creating an account and making your backlink live within a few minutes. You want a backlink from SlashDot.org because it has Domain Authority (DA) 97. And that’s out of 100. The more links from such sites you have, the higher your own site’s domain authority will go up. Other than that, it allows you to generate more traffic if you’re actively taking part in the site’s community. Now, it’s best to not just put your backlink as I showed in my screencast (see below). It makes sense to fill out your account at maximum so that it’s as complete as possible. Doing so guarantees that your account won’t be deleted for looking too spammy. (more…)
