    How I Do Keyword Research

In this video, I will guide you through the process (in a nutshell) of how I do keyword research using Ahrefs. You’ll see how I create a keyword list, generate relevant keywords, analyze low-hanging fruit keywords, and explore competitors’ keywords.

And here’s an SOP based on the video:

    ## SOP: Keyword Research with Ahrefs

    ### Objective:

The objective of this SOP is to guide on how to conduct keyword research using Ahrefs. This includes creating a keyword list, using seed keywords, analyzing competitors’ keywords, generating relevant keywords, and selecting the most optimal keyword.

    ### Key Steps:

    1. Create a Keyword List:

    – Log in to Ahrefs and go to Keywords Explorer.
    – Click on “New List” and name it based on the site’s topic (e.g., “credit score”).
    – Add the main keyword to the list and click “Create.”

    2. Use Seed Keywords:

    – Identify broad terms related to the site’s topic.
    – If you have a site, find seed keywords on the actual site.
    – If you don’t have a site, use broad terms relevant to the topic.
    – Add 3 to 7 seed keywords to the keyword list.

    3. Analyze Competitors’ Keywords:

    – Identify competitors in the same industry or niche.
    – Enter the competitor’s domain into Ahrefs’ search bar.
    – Repeat this process for at least three competitors.
    – Go to the “Organic Keywords” section to see the keywords the competitor ranks for.
    – Select relevant keywords and add them to the keyword list.

    4. Generate Relevant Keywords:

    – Go to the keyword list in Ahrefs.
    – Click on “Matching Terms” to generate more keywords.
    – Review the generated keywords and select those that make sense for the site.
    – Add the selected keywords to the keyword list.

    5. Filter Keywords by Difficulty:

    – Check the Domain Rating (DR) of the site.
    – Use the “Lowest DR” feature to filter keywords based on the site’s DR.
    – Apply the filter to narrow down the list to keywords where it’s realistic to rank.
    – Review the filtered keywords and select those that make sense for the site.
    – Add the selected keywords to the keyword list.

    6. Sort Keywords by Traffic Potential:

    – Go to the keyword list in Ahrefs.
    – Sort the keywords by “Traffic Potential” from highest to lowest.
    – Review the keywords and select the most optimal keyword based on relevance and difficulty.
    – Consider the keyword’s difficulty and the number of backlinks required to rank.
    – Add the selected keyword to the keyword list.

    7. Consider Additional Informational Keywords:

    – If there is a blog, generate informational keywords for blog post topics.
    – Go to the keyword list in Ahrefs.
    – Click on “Questions” to narrow down the list to informational keywords.
    – Review the generated keywords and select those that can be used as blog post topics.
    – Add the selected informational keywords to the keyword list.

    ### Cautionary Notes:

    – Ensure that the selected keywords are relevant to the site’s topic and industry.
    – Consider the keyword difficulty and the site’s ability to rank for the selected keywords.
    – Use the “Lowest DR” filter to narrow down the list to realistic ranking opportunities.
    – Review the keywords manually to ensure they make sense for the site’s goals and target audience.

    ### Tips for Efficiency:

    – Use the seed keywords and competitors’ keywords to generate a comprehensive list of relevant keywords.
    – Sort the keywords by traffic potential to prioritize the most valuable opportunities.
    – Consider the keyword difficulty and required backlinks when selecting the most optimal keyword.
    – Generate informational keywords for blog post topics to enhance content strategy.

    Tech SEO Audit

First off, I’ll run an SEO audit on your site to detect all tech SEO issues (such as crawling, broken links or pages, and missing attributes) you need to fix first before going any further because failing to do so may jeopardize your upcoming link-building campaign (off-page SEO). • How to Assign an Owner Permission Level to a New User on Google Search Console

How to Assign an Owner Permission Level to a New User on Google Search Console

In this video, you will get to know how to grant access to your Google Search Console to another user.

Google Search Console is a vital tool for website owners and SEO professionals. It provides insights into your site’s performance, indexing status, and allows you to troubleshoot issues that can affect your search engine rankings. One essential feature is the ability to add new users and assign different permission levels, including the owner permission level. This post will guide you through the steps to assign an owner permission level to a new user in Google Search Console.

Step-by-Step Guide to Assigning Owner Permissions

Step 1: Access Google Search Console

First, navigate to Google Search Console and log in with your Google account. Ensure you are using the account that has the necessary permissions to manage users.

    Step 2: Open Settings

Once you are logged into your account and have selected the appropriate property (website), you need to access the settings. Scroll down to the bottom of the left-hand sidebar menu. At the very bottom, you will see a gear icon labeled “Settings.” Click on this to proceed to the settings section.

Step 3: Navigate to Users and Permissions

In the settings section, you will find various options for managing your site. Look for the “Users and permissions” option and click on it. This will take you to a page where you can manage all the users who have access to your Google Search Console property.

Step 4: Add a New User

In the upper right corner of the “Users and permissions” page, you will see a blue button labeled “Add user.” Click on this button to open the user addition form.

Step 5: Enter the New User’s Email Address

A dialog box will appear prompting you to enter the new user’s email address. Enter the email address of the user you want to add. Ensure that the email address is correct, as this is how the new user will receive the invitation to access your Google Search Console property.

    Step 6: Assign Owner Permissions

After entering the email address, you will see a drop-down menu labeled “Permission.” Click on this menu and select “Owner.” This will grant the new user full access to the Google Search Console property, including the ability to manage users, view all data, and make critical changes.

    Step 7: Save the Changes

Once you have selected the “Owner” permission level, click the “Add” button to finalize the process. The new user will be added to your Google Search Console property with owner permissions. You should see their email address listed under the users, along with their assigned permission level.

    Confirming the New User’s Permissions

To ensure that the new user has been successfully added with the correct permissions, you can refresh the “Users and permissions” page. The new user’s email should now be visible, along with the label “Owner” next to their name.

    Why Assign Owner Permissions?

Assigning owner permissions is a significant action because it grants the user full control over the property. This includes:

    • Access to All Data: Owners can view all performance data, indexing reports, and any issues detected by Google.
    • User Management: Owners can add or remove other users and assign different permission levels.
    • Configuration Changes: Owners can make changes to settings, such as updating the sitemap, adjusting crawl settings, and more.
    • Security: It’s crucial to assign owner permissions only to trusted individuals who require full access to manage the website’s SEO and performance.

    Common Questions and Troubleshooting

Q: What if the new user does not receive the invitation email?
A: Ensure that you have entered the correct email address and ask the user to check their spam or junk folder. If the issue persists, try removing the user and adding them again.

Q: Can I change a user’s permission level after adding them?
A: Yes, you can change a user’s permission level at any time by returning to the “Users and permissions” page, selecting the user, and choosing a new permission level from the drop-down menu.

Q: What other permission levels are available?
A: Besides the “Owner” permission level, you can assign “Full” and “Restricted” permissions. Full permissions allow the user to view most data and make some changes, while restricted permissions limit the user to viewing data only.

    Conclusion

Assigning an owner permission level to a new user in Google Search Console is a straightforward process that ensures the right individuals have the access they need to manage and optimize your website. By following these steps, you can quickly and efficiently add new users and grant them the necessary permissions to help manage your site’s SEO efforts. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out for assistance. Thank you for reading, and happy optimizing!

  • 4 Ways Your Small Business Can Save Money

4 Ways Your Small Business Can Save Money

In the current economic climate, businesses often find the need to adapt their operations, reevaluate their strategies, and cut back on costs. This is a natural evolution for any business, particularly those facing financial challenges.

If your figures aren’t looking as healthy as they should be or once were, it’s time to take control. Step back, look at your income and expenses, and identify any areas where you can save more. By doing so, you’re not just reacting to financial challenges but actively shaping your business’s financial health.

In this post, we will explore several strategies for reducing business costs without compromising on quality and standards. These include optimizing telephony costs, leveraging freelancers, reviewing contracts and premiums, and exploring tax relief options.

    Telephony Costs

How much money are you spending on your telephone costs as a whole? If you have landlines and mobiles and rely on them to do business and stay in touch with both office and remote staff, for example, moving over to cloud-based services can allow you to cut costs associated with calls without losing any of the functionality you rely on to get the job done. This transition to cloud communications is feasible and beneficial, as it can help you streamline your operations, scale communications, and experience less downtime and uninterrupted connectivity as you’re operating over the internet rather than through traditional phone lines.

    Use Freelancers

From time to time, you might find that you need the assistance of others outside your area of expertise or for one-off projects. In this instance, working with freelancers for limited or specified time periods can allow you to benefit from their skills and services as you need them rather than hiring in-house or signing up for long contracts with outsourcing partners. Having a freelancer on board means you can support what you do easily without committing to the expense of hiring more employees or creating contracts, etc., which can be costly, especially if this isn’t a service you need on a permanent basis.

    Check Contracts and Premiums

Before automatically renewing contracts or premiums for insurance, etc., always check the cost and look around for a better price. Don’t be afraid to be upfront with companies that you’re in the market for a better deal; they might be able to accommodate this for you. But never just blindly sign on for another term without looking at the cost and value to your company to make sure you’re getting the best deal possible.

    Check Tax Reliefs

There are always tax relief options you might be able to benefit from to help you reduce your taxes and save some money you can invest in your business. Talk to an accountant or check out your country’s tax rules for small businesses to identify what is available when you might qualify for and how you can take advantage of any tax relief.

These are just 4 ways you can save money in business without compromising on what you do and the quality of work you offer. Avoid cutting corners when cutting costs can save you money and ensure you’re still the best at what you do.
